Waterproof Snap Frames Information

If you intend to locate your snap frames outdoors or anywhere where there is a lot of moisture, you require Waterproof Snap Frames. It is possible to laminate your poster and use a regular snap frame, but we would always suggest water proof snap frames for exterior use, even with laminated posters, as water behind the anti glare cover can look scruffy and deflect from the impact of your advertisement. Water resistant snap frames are ideal for outside shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants and any business where easy change poster display is required. Our stock waterproof snap frames are silver anodised aluminium, in a range of stock sizes, and available with 25mm or 35mm frame profiles. We also manufacture bespoke coloured water proof snap frames to order. A weather resistant rubber seal or gasket located in the frame, behind the frame profiles is what makes the snap frames resistant to water. The frame closes tightly using the spring hinges, holding the anti glare cover firmly over the seal, creating a barrier to incoming moisture.

Our standard UV grade anti glare PVC protective covers are particularly important on outdoor snap frames as they protect your poster from fading in the sunlight.

For a more secure outside display solution, we also supply snap frames which are both lockable and waterproof. They have the same seal for weather protection, plus an allen key lock providing security and peace of mind. The allen key is specially shaped and supplied with the snap frame. The allen key accesses a screw lock located in the frame which holds the locks and unlocks the snap frame protecting it from vandals and thieves. Our waterproof and lockable snap frames have 32mm frame profiles.
