Lockable Snap Frames Information

Lockable Snap Frames offer the ideal solution for areas where extra security is preferred. This may be due to the conceived threat of theft or vandalism, or simply to provide peace of mind. One of the big advantages of snap frames is that they fit tightly to the wall with the use of screws and plugs through fixing holes in the rear of the frame profile. The fixings (supplied with our snap frames) are totally hidden from view when the snap frame is closed. To change posters the four frame profiles clip open, the PVC poster cover is removed and the poster is then easily accessible for easy replacement.

Lockable Snap Frames have exactly the same advantages as standard snap frames with the added bonus of security provided by a screw system that is located in the frame profile. Sizes 20" x 30" and larger have two locking screw systems. The screw system locks the snap frame by holding the clip open frame secured to the wall mounted base. The single, or double screw locks hold the remaining profiles closed.

A designed allen key, which is supplied with our lockable snap frames is required to lock and unlock them. It has a particular shape which is unusual, so regular allen keys will not lock and unlock our secure locking snap frames. They provides an element of extra security. Our Lockable Snap Frames have frame profiles of 32mm width.

Our Lockable Snap Frames are manufactured in aluminium, with a 1.5mm plastic back panel and a UV grade anti glare PVC protective cover. Our stock snap frames are boxed individually. We stock a range of colours of lockable snap frames and we can manufacture bespoke snap frames in a range of stock colours. We can also powder coat our bespoke snap frames to most RAL codes.
